River's Inn offers 4 fabulous, comfortable rooms (and Swiss Cottage coming soon) to guests who would like to stay for one or two nights or several days.

Come and experience the charm of the turn of the last Century in this beautiful home filled with antiques, fireplaces, lead glass windows, hardwood floors, beautiful lamps, cozy sitting area with library, and many European details.

This beautiful home was built in 1907 by Henry F. Jordon for his wife, while making his living in textiles. The RIVER'S INN was restored in 1999 to its old glory by Ursula Armijo Knobel, Inn Keeper, whose roots are in Austria and Switzerland.

The RIVER'S INN has always been a private home and been taken care of with love by the previous owners. The same love is being applied now. You will feel it the minute you walk through the gate and up on the porch.

Each room of the River's Inn is special, whether it features a Dover Road Rope Carved Canopy Bed or a large bathroom with the most wonderful bathtub. Rooms have a place to set up your laptop or better yet, step out of your room to a cozy sitting area at the top of the landing to watch TV or read a good book. Make yourself at home by relaxing in the living room or swinging on the front porch. Share time with other guests whilst talking to each other or have alone time. It’s all within your reach at the RIVER’S INN.

Upon your arrival you will be treated to a warm reception, welcome treats, and a comfortable room. Homemade bread, organically grown vegetables, pastry and jams, fresh farm eggs, tea, coffee and our special Swiss hot chocolate, together with other wonderful treats will set the RIVER'S INN apart from any other place you have ever visited. In addition, we offer special treats for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, 4th of July, or your own special days. 

Whether you go hunting or fishing, watch wildlife, birds, alligators or UFOs, visit the Great Sand Dunes or the various hot springs, have a flair for golf, biking, hiking, skiing, or choose Antonito as your starting point when taking the most beautiful ride on the famous Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad steam train that runs between Antonito, Colorado and Chama, New Mexico, the RIVER'S INN offers you comfortable and quality accommodations and a safe home while on your journey.  We now offer Train Packages!

Antonito, 6 miles/10 km north of the New Mexico border and once a booming town with a rich history, is coming back and establishing itself as a gem in Southern Colorado. A few restaurants within walking distance offering excellent Mexican/American food provide you with solid meals. The many things to do around the area beckons, a local museum with gallery is planned to be opened soon. Trips to the Missions can be arranged, especially highlighted by the oldest church in Conejos, Colorado.
